We would like to inform you about a data security incident involving our technology partner, Seekda.

Seekda provides Minor Vacation Club with technical systems used to process bookings. Recently, Seekda identified a security incident within its systems.

Based on the information currently available to us, certain reservation and contact details connected with Minor Vacation Club bookings may have been affected. This notice is being shared as a precaution.

Why We Are Informing You

With access to reservation and contact details, third parties could attempt to send convincing fraudulent messages (also known as phishing). Such messages may refer to an actual or previous reservation and could therefore appear genuine at first glance.

We therefore ask you to remain vigilant about emails, SMS messages, WhatsApp messages, or other communications relating to a Minor Vacation Club booking, especially if they ask you to confirm details, make a payment, or click a link. If you are unsure whether a message is genuine, please contact Minor Vacation Club only through our official contact channels.

What Information May Be Involved

Based on the information currently available, the categories of information that may have been involved are:

– reservation and property identifiers;

– name, postal address, email address, and telephone number; and

– booking and stay information, including arrival and departure dates, room information, occupancy, booked services, and reservation status.

Importantly, based on the information currently available, the affected reservation data did not contain credit card numbers, card expiry dates, card security codes (such as CVC or CVV), or bank account details. Furthermore, your Club Points Ownership account information was not revealed or compromised.

Important Information

This notice is for your information only. You do not need to confirm your booking, update your personal information, or make any payment regarding this situation.

In connection with this security incident, Minor Vacation Club will not contact you by email, SMS, WhatsApp, or other messaging channels asking you to confirm or update personal information, reservation details, or payment information.

We will not ask you to provide credit card numbers, security codes, passwords, or other login credentials in connection with this incident.

Please be cautious of messages that:

– ask you to confirm or update your reservation;

– request a new or additional payment;

– ask you to enter credit card or payment details;

– put you under time pressure;

– contain links to payment or booking websites; or

– appear to come from Minor Vacation Club or Seekda but seem unusual, unexpected, or urgent.

If you receive a suspicious message, please do not click any links, open suspicious attachments, reply to the message, or provide any personal or financial information.

If you have already clicked a suspicious link and entered credit card or payment details, or made a payment, please contact your credit card provider or bank immediately and report the transaction or message.

What Action Is Being Taken

According to Seekda, immediate measures were taken to contain the incident once it became known, and the security incident continues to be investigated.

Minor Vacation Club is closely monitoring developments and carefully reviewing the information provided by Seekda, as well as any measures that may be required as a result.
